The Parish is the most vital and vibrant local unit of the Mar Thoma Church \u2014 the living expression of faith, fellowship, and service within the community. It is here that believers gather regularly to worship, pray, and participate in the sacramental and communal life of the Church. Every member whose name is entered in the Parish Register and who participates in the worship and ministry of the parish is considered an integral part of this spiritual family. The parish functions not merely as an administrative body, but as a fellowship of believers united in Christ, called to witness, serve, and grow together in faith.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Rooted in the apostolic tradition and guided by the teachings of Scripture, the Mar Thoma Parish upholds the Church\u2019s mission to be \u201ca witnessing community serving in love.\u201d It provides the platform where faith becomes action \u2014 through worship, education, mission work, and social involvement. At the parish level, the life of the Church finds its most tangible form. Parish Structure<\/h3>\n

Leadership and Organization<\/p>\n <\/div>\n\n

  • \n \n \n <\/svg><\/span>Each Parish is led by a Vicar and, where appointed, Assistant Vicars.\u2028\u2028<\/span><\/li>
  • \n \n \n <\/svg><\/span>Elected members serve as Secretary, Trustees, and Lay Ministrants.\u2028<\/span><\/li>
  • \n \n \n <\/svg><\/span>\u2028The Edavaka Sangham (General Body) makes decisions on all parish matters.\u2028\u2028<\/span><\/li>
  • \n \n \n <\/svg><\/span>The Annual Accounts and Budget are reviewed and approved by the Edavaka Sangham.\u2028\u2028<\/span><\/li>
  • \n \n \n <\/svg><\/span>All parish-level decisions require approval from the Diocesan Bishop.<\/span><\/li>
  • \n \n \n <\/svg><\/span>Membership in the Edavaka Sangham is open to communicant members above 18 years of age whose names are in the parish register and who are not under disciplinary restrictions.<\/span><\/li><\/ul> <\/div>\n\n
