  • Inaugural Address: The Most Rev. Dr. Joseph Mar Thoma Metropolitan
His Grace Dr Joseph Mar Thoma Metropolitan inaugurated the Conference focussing on the importance of the reading of the Bible whic should lead us to reformation in our day to day life and our contemporary Worship. His Grace Mar Thoma Metropolitan reminded that we live in an age wherein people crave for freedom against evils which is evident in the fight against corruption in mass level, but this new concept has invoked a threat to the democratic viability of our Country, which cannot be played around with. The Mullaperiyar Issue is another problem which has been reminded time again and again by Mother nature. The political skirmishes has blown the importance of the local people to the corner and the political ‘vadam vali’ is evident. The people of Tamil Nadu and Kerala are brothers of the same kind, living in harmony and supporting each other in different ways. It is the need of the hour to arrive at a consensus and to pray to God that He imparts His divine Knowledge to the concerned personnel in the quest to stabilising the emotions of the public on the Mullaperiyaar Issue. His Grcae The Metropolitan also reminded us that the church has always stood for Nationalism at its Highest level during the Days of Punchayil Upadeshi and others. He invited the clergy brothers to pray for the many issues concerning the nation and an open mind to peacefully think about the remedies for the same in the days to come.
  • Key note Address: The Most Rev. Dr. Philipose Mar Chrysostom Mar Thoma Valiya Metropolitan
His Grace Mar Chrysostom Valiya Metropolitan gave the Key Note Address with the Question: Is Bible the Gift of God through the Church or Is Bible the Creation of the Church? Valiya Metropolitan Pointed out the Importance of the Bible and the centrality of Jesus Christ in the Bible. We need to understand the Bible Through the Holy Spirit, but We try to do, otherwise and there arises a problem for the Church. The Bible is the book that describes Jesus Christ and hence Reformation is knowing Christ Through the Bible and experiencing Christ through the Holy Spirit. We often say that Jesus Christ has disclosed God to Humankind, But the truth is that Humankind was disclosed by Jesus Chirst.
