The Episcopal Consecration of the three Rambans were held on 13th August 2011. The Service began with the procession from the St Thomas Syrian Church, Thiruvalla.
The procession consisted of the Choir members, followed by the SabhaCouncil members, The Achens, Achens with Kappa, the Bishops, the designated Bishops followed by Rt Rev Geevarghese Mar Athanasius Episcopa.
The Service began at 7:30 am and The Metropolitan Joseph Mar Thoma was the principal celebrant of the installation ceremony.
Hundreds of faithful thronged the cathedral premises to witness the installation ceremony. The Holy Eucharist began at 7:15 a.m.
The Sermon was rendered by Rt Rev Zacharias Mar Theophilus Suffragan Metropolitan.
During The Consecration service, The designate bishops were seated on the MAR THOMA Throne and they were raised alongwith the Throne with the chant of “ÓXIOS”(Greek Term meaning ‘He Is Worthy’).
The installation service was held amidst the holy Eucharist celebrated by Abraham Mar Paulos Episcopa assisted by the new Bishops: Mathews Mar Makarios Episcopa, Gregorios Mar Stephanos Episcopa and Thomas Mar Theethos Episcopa. The Bishops of the CSI and Thozhiyoor Church were present for the Installation Service.
The recession was organised back to the St Thomas Church, Thiruvalla marking the culmination of the Installation cerremony.
